Set up 2-Step Verification
1. Go to the 2-Step Verification page.
2. In the “2-Step Verification” box on the right, select Start setup.
3. Follow the step-by-step setup process.
4. You can choose to reconnect your apps or do it later.
5. You will receive an email with a lot of information you can look through later.
6. If you want your codes sent to you by text, then you’re done. If you want to use to Authentication App follow the instructions below.
Set the Authenticator App if you don't want to wait for a text
1. Install the Google Authenticator App on your phone.
2. On your computer go to the 2-Step Verification page again, if needed.
3. In the Verification codes tab click Switch to app.
4. Follow the simple instructions to link your app to your Google account
In the 2-Step Verification page you can also see what devices are registered to your account and print or download backup code to use in case you don’t have your phone. Be sure to hide them in a safe place.
